Independent Multi-brand St. Johns County, Florida

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm $80 diagnostic

Six makes

The brands we work on, and what each one actually builds.

Half the service calls that go wrong start with a brand that does not make the appliance in question. Sub-Zero builds refrigeration and no cooking equipment at all. Wolf builds cooking equipment and no refrigeration. Thermador and Viking build both. Each page below says which, and what fails on it in St. Johns County.

A built-in column standing flush with a cabinet run, door closed, the interior light picking out the shelves.
Different badges, the same problem: the machine is furniture until the grille is off.

Why the brand names are here

Naming a make is descriptive, never a claim of approval. The affiliation statement is printed in full in the footer of every page.

St. Johns County Appliance uses no manufacturer logo, brand typeface or brand color anywhere on this site. Every brand name on it is set in the site's own faces, as plain text.

What repairs run

Does the make change what a repair costs?

The visit is $80 flat and comes off the bill. What the repair costs depends on which part failed, so these are ranges, not quotes.

Typical repair bands, parts and labor together, before the diagnostic credit
Repair Typical range
Oven thermostat or temperature sensor $190–$550
Igniter, spark module or surface element $190–$520
Electronic control board $400–$990
Diagnostic visit, credited to the repair $80

Parts are itemised on the written estimate, and nothing is fitted before you have approved the figure.

Questions

What do people ask about the makes?

Does the brand change what a repair costs?
Far less than people expect. The band is set by the component: a control board is $400–$990 on any of these makes, an oven sensor or thermostat $190–$550. What the brand changes is availability and how the appliance is built into the room, which is the labor.
Do you fit genuine parts?
Genuine OEM parts, bought through ordinary distribution. Parts are identified against the model and the serial number rather than the model alone, because manufacturers make running changes mid-production and the same model can take two different components depending on when it left the line.
What if the part for my appliance has gone out of production?
Then you get told before the estimate rather than after. On older equipment the parts question decides the repair, so it is checked first. Where the part is gone and no sound alternative exists, the honest answer is that the machine has no future, and it gets said plainly.

Customer feedback

Three recent calls, across the six makes

Rated 4.4 out of 5 across 100 customer reviews. Each is one visit, described by the person who paid for it.

  • The compressor was running without ever satisfying the thermostat. Rather than quoting a sealed system straight away he checked the controls, found a stuck damper motor and a blocked return, and it settled within a day of the fix.

    Anouk E.2026-04-15

  • The bridge zone stopped recognising anything wider than a saucepan. He tested the coils individually, found one detection sensor out of range and replaced the pair so they match, then checked the whole top with our own pans.

    Seraphine R.2026-01-27

  • It would not start a programme at all after a power cut. He found the door interlock had failed closed, replaced it and checked the board for surge damage while he was in there. Running normally since.
